During 2019, extreme and tragic climate events occurred as well as aggravating social events, but within all this damage, there were also sustainable stories that give us hope. Let's see.
Sustainable stories from 2019
These stories can inspire both companies and people to adopt a commitment to their environment and thereby integrate small actions that generate big changes; as the first sustainable story 2019…
1-. Greta Thunberg and a movement for the planet
Time magazine named Greta Thunberg “Person of the Year” for the movement against climate change that began in 2018 and currently has more than 10 million followers on social media.
The leadership of this activist Chile Mobile Number List led thousands of young Belgians to march weekly to the EU headquarters in Brussels and on March 15 this march spread throughout the world in favor of caring for and saving our planet.
All of this showed that younger generations are currently leading the way towards climate action and thereby inspiring companies to also join this fight.
2-. Environmental awareness grew
Environmentalists have, on several occasions, highlighted the messages of "pessimism" surrounding climate change.
In the much-publicized book The Uninhabitable Earth, author David Wallace-Wells argued that panic may be justified, showing what warming of 3, 4 or more degrees Celsius could look like, and believe us, it doesn't look promising at all.
This, among other news, has encouraged society to wake up and with it its level of awareness about the current state of the planet and how this affects the economic, social and health spheres.
For their part, companies began to improve their business model, based on the sustainable development objectives, with which they can promote improvement in the world and society.
So big companies like Coca-Cola, Grupo Modelo, Nestlé. Among others, they began to integrate sustainability goals that in turn inspire their interest groups to improve their routines and consumption.
3-. Alliances for climate
The government, organizations and large corporations understood that alliances are the best way to address the problems that threaten the world.
We leave you some interesting advances on this.

-Kellogg Company will improve the lives of 3 billion people through a variety of food and nutrition efforts and provide donations to feed 375 million people.

6-. Plant-based burgers occupy a place
In addition to vegan burgers, alternative options made from plants or seeds have taken on greater relevance on the companies' menu and with it the interest of consumers in this type of inclusive brands. Such is the case of Burger King, Carls Jr., McDonalds, Chipotle Grill and more.
This alternative protein trend is also global. In the case of Hong Kong-based Omni Pork, it offers vegan substitutes throughout Asia. This shift is important because conventional food and industrial agriculture industries produce a quarter or more of global carbon emissions.
